A Rhapsody for the Eternal

Darren Speegle writes stories that are often difficult to understand, and they rarely have a clear or definite ending. But life is not "cut and dried," he says. Nor are his tales easily placed in a certain genre. Speegle claims to write fantasy; I see aspects of mystery, science fiction, fantasy and horror. Most definitely horror, as A Rhapsody for the Eternal is nothing if it is not disturbing.

With a style leaning heavily toward the literary and a tendency for almost poetic descriptiveness, Speegle regularly obscures his stories from the reader. This is, at times, both irritating and intriguing. On the one hand, you find yourself wondering what is going on; on the other hand, your mental state becomes much like Speegle's tragic characters: off balance, feeling out of place, questing for meaning and aware of something just under the surface but unable to identify exactly what it is.

There is little doubt Darren Speegle is a brilliant author, but I think he is also a little too self-indulgent. What I can say for sure is the stories in A Rhapsody for the Eternal will never bore you, and they'll be with you long after you've finished reading.

What an exotic reading experience!

However, despite these benefits, online education continues to be challenged with high student withdrawals of 30-50% compared with 14% in the traditional classroom (Lynch, 2001). This research effort investigated the possible factors that may affect online students’ withdrawals (OSW) at An Urban Technical College. An online survey of online students who completed and who withdrew was used to compare students’ perception of their online course experience at An Urban Technical College. One survey was sent to online students who withdrew (OSW) and another was sent to online students who completed (OSC). The results showed that significant differences exist between OSC and OSW on the D.I.I.S.M analysis: Demographics: Age (55+); Institution: Orientation; Instructor: Email/phone contacts, availability/response time, returning of phone calls/emails, course relevance, hands on practice, suggested concept applications, and course-ware knowledge; Student: Family support and money access; Instruction Methods: Availability, ease of use, observation/reflection allowance, generalization allowance, self-assessment/practice test, and group activities/interactivity.

I bought this book to study for RVT exam and I am on the fence about it. Everything is in paragraph form, no charts or anything broken down. It is straight fact after fact and a lot of repitition. I guess its okay if you learn well with that format but I like to have things broken down into sections and charts to help me remember. There are no pictures, which I wasn't happy about since the board exams have pictures.. I guess if you are not a very visual learning person this is a good book for you, but me being very visual this doesn't really help me.

Urja Gaurav is an Indian girl living a less than ordinary life in Singapore. As a 13 year old, she wrote stories giving her a chance to step out of reality and into a world full of adventures, the world of fiction. She enjoys writing as a passion. I purchased ITBS Success Strategies Level 12, Grade 7. I would rate this product a 4. Some of the questions appear a little harder than what is on the actually test. However, I'm sure this book will help improve my students test scores.

I am extremely disappointed with this prep book

I am extremely disappointed with this prep book. My son went though the practice tests and was almost in tears because he couldn't answer most of the math questions. He has always gotten A's and B's in Math and always tested well. He just took the real ITBS test and said it was easy and nothing like the questions in this book. We ended up no using the book because it was clearly testing on things beyond 6th grade and was nothing like the real test. The book actually caused my son MORE test anxiety. I can't believe i wasted $49 on it
