About the Author
Bernice Erehart was born and raised on the Jersey Shore. She is the middle child of Howard and Vincenza, with two older sisters and an older brother, as well as three younger sisters. Because of them she is now aunt to six nephews and five nieces, and great aunt to five great nephews and five great nieces. Bernice has been writing short stories for as long as she can remember, and feels there are many more to come. She still lives at the Jersey Shore with her furry children Boo, Chipee and Lucy. Bernice Erehart's first novel Out of Time was published early 2014 .

Good story telling, writing needs work.

This is a case of a well told story poorly written. The author has a lot of the elements of a good story, suspense, drama, humor and intrigue but there are many grammatical and spelling errors, as well as a few poorly constructed sentences. If you can see past those things it is worth reading.

Clever story

This is a very short story- but very well written and clever.
Although it is only 11 pages long, this story really packs a punch. A woman begins to dig a very large hole in her backyard. At first we are led to believe that she is unhappy with the work that the men about to install a pool are doing- but we soon realize that something much more significant is going on. I won't spoil the surprise by telling you any more than this- other than to say that you won't be dissapointed.
Whenever I read a book from an author that is unknown to me, I always ask myself "Would I read something else that this author has written?" In this case, the answer is yes-absolutely. This was an enjoyable story, and I look forward to reading more of this author.

A PIT OF NOTHING BELIEVABLE

Okay, so Riley (a woman, even though the author used "he" for her in one place), is disgusted with the crew that was supposed to build a swimming pool in her back yard. The author of two bestsellers and a third one on the way, thus kind of rich, apparently loses her senses, buys shovels and other stuff, and starts digging up the pool herself--in just an afternoon. Then -- breaks local ordinances and laws to get some kind of revenge on -- I don't know who or what!
THE HOLE is a perfect title for what truth this story explores. Another word could be THE PIT. Kind of empty.
